John Lasseter Talks About Disney/Pixar Releases at Cannes

The Cannes Film Festival has been noteworthy as a place where many filmmakers display prominent films (many of which are award hopefuls).  It has also become one of many arenas where studios generate hype for upcoming projects.  One such studio that showcased some of what is on the horizon is Pixar/Disney Animated Studios where Disney/Pixar’s Chief Creative Officer, John Lasseter, spoke about a few films coming out the next couple years: The Finding Nemo sequel Finding Dory, The God Dinosaur, Toy Story 4, Moana, and Zootopia.  Variety reported on what was shown at the Cannes Film Festival, which also included some clips from the upcoming releases. Marvel Eyeing Matthew McConaughey for Norman Osbourne

Nothing official has been announced yet, but there certainly has been a lot of rumors circling the latest Spider-Man reboot as of late.  The most recent rumor is that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are eyeing Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey for the role of Norman Osbourne/Green Goblin for their next Spider-Man film.  Just last week reports came out in a Variety interview with McConaughey that he has been approached by both Marvel and DC reps in the past about being in movies but that he felt the parts were never right. Kirkman Provides Details on FEAR THE WALKING DEAD

It is an understatement to say that AMC has been successful with their adaptation of The Walking Dead.  This past season the show scored higher ratings than Sunday Night Football, which is no easy task.  So it comes as no surprise that the network wants to milk this cash cow and see if they can strike gold again (mixed metaphors too much?) with a companion series within the same world as the walking dead.  To date not much has been made known about the new series, Fear The Walking Dead, that premiers later this year, but Robert Kirkman sat down with Entertainment Weekly to provide us with a better understanding about what we can expect.
