Starring Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson , Courtney B. Vance and Oscar winner Russell Crowe.  The Mummy arrives in theaters June 9, 2017.

The Mummy is directed by Alex Kurtzman from a script by Jon Spaihts and Christopher McQuarrie.  The film is the first in a shared Universal Monster Movie universe that will also include The Wolfman, The Invisible Man, Bride of Frankenstein, and Van Helsing.  While it was initially reported that Dracula Untold would kick-start this shared universe, due to weak box office reception it is now believed that movie won’t be included (too bad because it was decent as far as monster movies go).  Also there have been rumors of a Scarlet Johansson led Creature From the Black Lagoon remake, but the film hasn’t been attached to the shared cinematic universe in any reports from the studio.
