The current trend on television is to adapt well-known film franchises into a TV series (reversing the typical jump from TV to the big screen).  Shows such as  Scream, Rush Hour, Fargo, Minority Report and Hannibal have come out of this to varying degrees of success with other projects like Taken, Tremors, and Underworld in development.  Following in their footsteps, Deadline is reporting that Fox has ordered a television series based on the 1973 horror classic The Exorcist and 1980’s Mel Gibson/Danny Glover buddy cop franchise Lethal Weapon.  Read on for more details.
