Check out the first trailer for the live action Winnie the Pooh film, Christopher Robin.  The film arrives in theaters August 3, 2018 and featured Ewan McGregor as an adult Christopher Robin as well as Hayley Atwell, Bronte Carmichael, Mark Gatiss and the voice talents of Jim Cummings, Chris O’Dowd, Brad Garrett, Toby Jones, Nick Mohammed, Peter Capaldi, and Sophie Okonedo. Quick Hits- Live Action Winnie the Pooh, Full House and Muppets Return to TV, And a Play-Doh Movie?

Here’s  a few quick notes about stories that hit this week.  I’m not going to delve into too many details about any of them but I’ll direct you to where you can learn the rest.

Firstly, it looks like Disney is not through yet with their live action adaptations of the film properties.  There’s already a new Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast, Dumbo and Mulan in the works and now there is going to be a new Winnie the Pooh.  The movie will center around an adult Christopher Robin returning to the Hundred Acre Woods.  Most likely it will consist of real human actors and CGI Pooh and friends.  Indie director Alex Ross Perry who previously directed Sundance film, Listen Up Philip, is pegged right now to helm the latest story of the characters.  No release date has been set and there’s no rumors of actors to play any of the parts.  I’ll follow-up as soon as I hear anything further.
